Tenant Story - Meet Miguel, and other April highlights

MEET MIGUEL

Miguel is coming up on his 5-year anniversary with A Tiny Home for Good. He is a tenant and a board member.

He has the soul of an artist and enjoys writing and photography. Some of his photos are currently being featured in Art Rage at the Norton Putter Gallery in an exhibition culling over a decade's worth of South Side Photo Walk captures.

Miguel likes to focus on the relationship between local residents and nature. The motivation behind his photography?

It’s known that the neighborhoods where tiny homes are located face a number of challenges and they are usually mentioned in the mainstream media only when crimes are committed there. What the photos mean to me is that there are also many positive and uplifting stories in these neighborhoods.

We're grateful for the reminder that we're all growing together, and that beauty is all around us. Thanks for sharing, Miguel.

It takes a village

Grateful to have volunteers back on site

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists created a walkway and platform for a community grilling area at our Bellevue properties.

Le Moyne College's Dolphins for Humanity joined us at Ostrander to help place concrete, haul stone, and install soffit.

Construction Update

Windows, doors, siding...just like that our build on Ostrander feels more like home. At least on the outside!

Plenty left to do, but we're diving into rough plumbing and mechanicals.
