Advocates are in the final stages of rehabbing a home to be a “lead freedom house” at 1216 South Ave. It will house families whose homes are having lead hazards fixed.

It's a $265,000 project; Tiny Homes helped fundraise $65,000 to combine with a $200,000 Local Community Assistance Program grant organized by State Senator Rachel May (D). The home will have two separate units, one on the first floor and one on the second, that can house one family each.
